En particulier pendant la saison froide, un apport ad\u00e9quat est essentiel pour renforcer notre syst\u00e8me immunitaire.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: var(--awb-text-color); font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color-hover);\">Comme tout ce qui existe dans le monde, nous, les \u00eatres humains, sommes constitu\u00e9s de diff\u00e9rents atomes. Quatre \u00e9l\u00e9ments seulement, \u00e0 savoir l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne (O), le carbone (C), l&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne (H) et l&rsquo;azote (N), repr\u00e9sentent ensemble plus de 95% de la masse de notre corps\u202f!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><h4>Min\u00e9raux et oligo-\u00e9l\u00e9ments<\/h4>\n<p>Les min\u00e9raux et oligo-\u00e9l\u00e9ments font partie des 5% restants. Ce sont des \u00e9l\u00e9ments chimiques que notre corps n\u2019est pas en mesure de produire lui-m\u00eame, mais qu&rsquo;il doit donc imp\u00e9rativement absorber par l&rsquo;alimentation. Ces compos\u00e9s se caract\u00e9risent par le fait qu&rsquo;ils ne fournissent aucune \u00e9nergie. Alors que les min\u00e9raux sont pr\u00e9sents en relativement grande quantit\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;organisme, les oligo-\u00e9l\u00e9ments, comme leur nom l&rsquo;indique, ne sont pr\u00e9sents qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat de traces. Des exemples connus sont par exemple le calcium, le phosphore, le magn\u00e9sium, le fer, le soufre, le fluor, l&rsquo;iode, le s\u00e9l\u00e9nium et le zinc. Ceci en opposition aux compos\u00e9s chimiques tels que les glucides, les lipides, les acides nucl\u00e9iques ou les prot\u00e9ines, que nous pouvons synth\u00e9tiser dans notre corps.<\/p>\n<p>Les min\u00e9raux et les oligo-\u00e9l\u00e9ments fonctionnent comme des petits rouages essentiels sans lesquels une machine ne pourrait pas accomplir ses t\u00e2ches. Le calcium, par exemple, combin\u00e9 au phosphate, se retrouve sous forme d&rsquo;hydroxyapatite, la substance min\u00e9rale qui compose la structure dure des os et des dents. Le magn\u00e9sium d\u00e9tend les muscles et pr\u00e9vient les crampes musculaires. Dans l\u2019h\u00e9moglobine des globules rouge, le fer transporte l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne des poumons vers les tissus du corps, facilitant ainsi la production d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie. Le zinc est essentiel pour le syst\u00e8me immunitaire et aide \u00e0 lutter contre les maladies transmissibles pendant la saison froide.<\/p>\n<p>Une carence en ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments peut avoir des cons\u00e9quences dramatiques. Par exemple, une d\u00e9ficience en iode entra\u00eene une hypertrophie de la thyro\u00efde, formant un \u00ab\u202fgoitre\u202f\u00bb inesth\u00e9tique au niveau du cou. Les bact\u00e9ries de la flore intestinale contribuent \u00e0 l\u2019approvisionnement en biotine et en vitamine K. Les vitamines sont tr\u00e8s souvent associ\u00e9es aux fruits et l\u00e9gumes, mais on les trouve aussi dans les aliments d&rsquo;origine animale, les champignons, les micro-organismes ou les algues. Comme les min\u00e9raux, elles ne fournissent pas d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e0 l\u2019organisme.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>On distingue les vitamines liposolubles A, D, E et K des vitamines hydrosolubles B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12 et de la vitamine C.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ces 13 vitamines assurent des fonctions vitales et participent, par exemple, au processus visuel, \u00e0 la coagulation sanguine, au m\u00e9tabolisme et au syst\u00e8me immunitaire. Une v\u00e9ritable insuffisance en vitamines peut entra\u00eener de graves probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9. Un exemple bien connu est le scorbut, une carence s\u00e9v\u00e8re en vitamine C qui, autrefois, \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quente chez les marins et qui avait des cons\u00e9quences d\u00e9sastreuses en raison d\u2019une alimentation d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibr\u00e9e. Au XVIIIe si\u00e8cle, on d\u00e9couvrit que les agrumes (oranges, citrons&#8230;), riches en vitamine C, pouvaient pr\u00e9venir cette maladie.<\/p>\n<h4>Parer aux carences<\/h4>\n<p>Heureusement, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019excellente offre alimentaire et aux efforts de pr\u00e9vention, les maladies graves dues \u00e0 des carences sont rares en Suisse. Cependant, il existe des situations et des groupes \u00e0 risque, tels que les personnes utilisant certains m\u00e9dicaments (diur\u00e9tiques, statines), les enfants, les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es, les personnes souffrant d&rsquo;alcoolisme, les v\u00e9g\u00e9taliens ainsi que les femmes enceintes et allaitantes.<\/p>\n<p>Pour r\u00e9duire le risque de carence, il est essentiel d&rsquo;avoir une alimentation vari\u00e9e et \u00e9quilibr\u00e9e, comprenant des fruits, des l\u00e9gumes, des champignons, des noix, des produits laitiers, des glucides, des graisses v\u00e9g\u00e9tales et des infusions. Pour la pr\u00e9vention et le traitement d\u2019une d\u00e9ficience, des compl\u00e9ments alimentaires et des m\u00e9dicaments contenant tous les min\u00e9raux et oligo-\u00e9l\u00e9ments essentiels sont disponibles en pharmacie.
