Car les carences ou les erreurs alimentaires peuvent \u00eatre lourdes de cons\u00e9quences quand il s\u2019agit de mener une vie active et autonome.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);\">Qui ne r\u00eave pas que ses vieux jours riment avec sant\u00e9 et bien-\u00eatre? Mais vieillir en bonne sant\u00e9 ne va malheureusement pas de soi. Avec l\u2019\u00e2ge, notre corps change. La proportion de graisse corporelle augmente tandis que les tissus non adipeux, la masse musculaire et la densit\u00e9 osseuse diminuent. La perte de force musculaire est particuli\u00e8rement probl\u00e9matique, car elle s\u2019accompagne d\u2019une faiblesse grandissante, d\u2019une limitation de l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique et d\u2019une r\u00e9duction de la mobilit\u00e9. C\u2019est le d\u00e9but d\u2019un cercle vicieux: car quand on ne tient plus bien sur ses jambes, on a du mal \u00e0 aller faire ses courses. De plus, avec la baisse de l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique en plein air qui ouvre l\u2019app\u00e9tit, le ralentissement des processus m\u00e9taboliques, la r\u00e9duction du go\u00fbt et une possible souffrance psychique comme la tristesse ou la solitude, la sensation de faim s\u2019amenuise. La pr\u00e9paration des repas devient de plus en plus p\u00e9nible et, in\u00e9vitablement, la masse musculaire continue de fondre \u2013 et avec elle l\u2019autonomie.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><blockquote>\n<p>Les besoins en calories des seniors diminuent globalement mais les besoins en vitamines et min\u00e9raux restent identiques.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-1 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:2.375%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:0px;--awb-spacing-left-large:2.375%;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-order-medium:0;--awb-spacing-right-medium:2.375%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:2.375%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-order-small:0;--awb-spacing-right-small:2.375%;--awb-spacing-left-small:2.375%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-column-has-shadow fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><h4>Des aliments riches en nutriments<\/h4>\n<p>Avec la fonte des muscles actifs dans le m\u00e9tabolisme, le m\u00e9tabolisme de base, autrement dit la quantit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9nergie dont l\u2019organisme a besoin au repos pour maintenir les fonctions corporelles, diminue. L\u2019activit\u00e9 physique r\u00e9duite diminue en outre les d\u00e9penses \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques, qui sont sup\u00e9rieures au m\u00e9tabolisme de base. Les besoins en calories \u00e0 cette p\u00e9riode de la vie diminuent donc globalement mais les besoins en vitamines et min\u00e9raux restent identiques. Pour les couvrir, il est donc primordial de choisir des aliments particuli\u00e8rement riches en nutriments. Par exemple, les fruits, les l\u00e9gumes, les pommes de terre, les produits aux c\u00e9r\u00e9ales compl\u00e8tes, les produits laitiers maigres, la viande maigre et le poisson maigre. Pour que les nutriments soient pr\u00e9serv\u00e9s au mieux lors du stockage et de la cuisson, on privil\u00e9giera en outre les temps de cuisson courts, dans une faible quantit\u00e9 d\u2019eau, et on \u00e9vitera de r\u00e9chauffer plusieurs fois les plats ou de les garder au chaud longtemps.<\/p>\n<h4>Plus de prot\u00e9ines pour des muscles plus forts<\/h4>\n<p>La fonte musculaire fait partie du processus naturel de vieillissement et ne peut donc malheureusement pas \u00eatre \u00e9vit\u00e9e. Une augmentation des apports en prot\u00e9ines permet toutefois de contrer la perte de masse musculaire. Voil\u00e0 pourquoi les seniors ont besoin d\u2019un quart de prot\u00e9ines de plus que les plus jeunes. La quantit\u00e9 recommand\u00e9e est de 1 gramme de prot\u00e9ines par kilo de poids corporel. Comme les prot\u00e9ines sont tr\u00e8s rassasiantes, il est important de r\u00e9partir les apports au fil de la journ\u00e9e. Chacun des trois repas principaux en contiendra id\u00e9alement 20 grammes environ. Les aliments d\u2019origine animale comme les produits laitiers, la viande, le poisson et les \u0153ufs, ainsi que certains aliments d\u2019origine v\u00e9g\u00e9tale comme le tofu, le seitan et le quorn, sont particuli\u00e8rement riches en prot\u00e9ines. Les l\u00e9gumineuses, les c\u00e9r\u00e9ales, les graines et les noix apportent aussi des prot\u00e9ines de grande qualit\u00e9. Pour renforcer les muscles, il est en outre important d\u2019associer la consommation de prot\u00e9ines \u00e0 une activit\u00e9 physique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<h4>Manger doit rester un plaisir<\/h4>\n<p>La diminution de l\u2019app\u00e9tit et de la sensibilit\u00e9 gustative, des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 mastiquer et \u00e0 avaler et divers troubles digestifs peuvent r\u00e9duire consid\u00e9rablement les quantit\u00e9s ing\u00e9r\u00e9es. Or, avec l\u2019\u00e2ge, des apports alimentaires insuffisants ont un impact majeur sur la sant\u00e9 et le bien-\u00eatre. Avec quelques mesures simples mais efficaces, ce n\u2019est pourtant pas une fatalit\u00e9. Une petite marche avant les repas et une bonne a\u00e9ration de la salle \u00e0 manger stimulent l\u2019app\u00e9tit. Les substances am\u00e8res comme la gentiane, le pissenlit et l\u2019absinthe stimulent la s\u00e9cr\u00e9tion de salive et de suc gastrique et sont utiles en cas de manque d\u2019app\u00e9tit. Comme la sensation de sati\u00e9t\u00e9 arrive plus vite chez les plus \u00e2g\u00e9s, mieux vaut renoncer aux repas copieux et privil\u00e9gier plusieurs petits repas ou collations. On veillera aussi \u00e0 avoir des apports hydriques suffisants (au moins 1,5 litre par jour). Mais pour \u00e9viter de renforcer la sensation de sati\u00e9t\u00e9, mieux vaut boire apr\u00e8s ou entre les repas. Les herbes et les \u00e9pices permettent de relever les saveurs et de lutter contre la perte de sensibilit\u00e9 gustative.
